北京新發地農產品批發市場成立于1988年5月16日市場建設初期只是一個占地15畝、管理人員15名、啟動資金15萬元, 連圍墻都是用鐵絲網圍起來的小型農貿市場。

近年來,為構筑首都農產品安全穩定供應的“護城河”,市場實施了“內升外擴,轉型升級”的發展戰略,業務正在穩步向生產源頭和零售終端同步延伸。目前,新發地市場已在全國農產品主產區投資建設了16家分市場和300多萬畝基地,在北京市區內建立了150多家便民菜店,300多輛便民直通車,有效平抑了市場物價,方便了社區居民,保障和滿足了首都農產品的安全穩定供應。

The ChongQing DongMeng International Food Industry Park project covers an area of approximately 1,950 mu (about 130 hectares), with a construction area of about 2.48 million square meters. It aims to build a multi-temperature zone cloud warehouse with a capacity of about 500,000 tons, and the total investment is estimated to be around 12 billion yuan. In line with Chongqing’s development concept of “integrating industry and city,” the project strategically focuses on structural reforms on the supply side of the food industry. It is based on ensuring the livelihood supply in Chongqing and revolves around the dual circulation of international and domestic trade. Guided by the “modern service industry” and centered on “international food trade and logistics,” the project supports “fine and deep processing” of agricultural products. It aims to develop directions such as “headquarter economy, foreign trade economy, exhibition economy, and brand economy,” creating twelve major functional centers and eight industrial extension support areas. This initiative strives to advance the sophistication of the food industry’s foundation and modernize the food industry chain, ensuring the food supply for the dining tables of 200 million people across five provinces and one city in Southwest China.
